Error 148/35 on the Siemens Luminos TL is typically related to an issue with the collimator system, potentially affecting the functionality of the image intensifier or monitor display. Here's a troubleshooting guide to resolve this problem:

  1. Power Cycle the System:

    • Turn the system off, wait for 30 seconds, and then restart it. Sometimes, a simple reboot can clear temporary software glitches causing the collimator or image display issues.
  2. Check Collimator Connections:

    • Ensure that the collimator's electrical connections and cables are secure. A loose or faulty connection can prevent it from functioning properly.
  3. Verify Collimator Motor Functionality:

    • The collimator might not be opening due to a motor issue. Manually inspect the collimator if possible, ensuring that it's not physically jammed or obstructed.
  4. Inspect Power Supply to Collimator:

    • Check the power supply to the collimator motor. If the motor isn't receiving the correct voltage, the collimator won't open. Use a multimeter to check for proper voltage.
  5. Software or Firmware Error:

    • It could be a software issue, so check if there are any pending software updates or patches for the Siemens Luminos TL that address error 148/35. Contact Siemens technical support for guidance on potential firmware upgrades.
  6. Monitor and Video System Check:

    • If the image is not appearing on the monitor, confirm that the video signal connections from the image intensifier to the monitor are intact. Ensure no loose or damaged video cables.
    • Also, test the monitor with another video input source to rule out a monitor-specific problem.
  7. Diagnostic Mode or Logs:

    • Use the system's diagnostic mode (if available) to check for detailed error codes. Siemens systems often log errors, and those logs can provide more insight into what part of the collimator or image processing system is malfunctioning.
