Nursing staff at my hospital have been complaining that the stirrups are hard to maneuver. I noticed that the locking pin that locks their side to side movement have been sticking. The confusing part is that when a patient is sitting on the unit, it apparently makes them even harder to use. I don't see how the weight of someone on the bed interacts with the stirrups and its guides. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Stirrup Issue
5 days agoReply from MapleTreeBiomed
Hey Brichb,
I've seen the guide bracket for the stirrups get bent making it harder to push in and out and swivel. Check the documents section on the left and open the service and parts manual. You'll find an exploded parts diagram on page E-17. I've also seen the Pivot Boss break as well. It's usually a fairly easy repair.
Good Luck!
