Stryker MPS 3000 knee gatch coupler

We have a Stryker MPS 3000 bed. The serial number is #93070742 and the bed was manufactured in August 1994. The knee gatch is not working (the motor that raises and lowers the knees of the patient) The problem is the "Screw Drive Coupling" p/n #3000-300-412 is broken in two pieces. The coupler fits over the end of a worm gear and a pin is inserted through the coupler and the worm gear to keep them together. As the motor turns it then forces the worm gear to rotate lifting, or lowering, the patient's knees. The coupler is the weak link on that part of the bed. Unfortunately, due to the age of the bed it is no longer available from Stryker. When they did stock it they would only sell the whole motor assembly with the coupler attached to it, but they don't even have that any more. If we cannot find a coupler, or the whole assembly, then we will have to scrap the bed. It is pretty old anyway but if we could save it for a while longer then I am willing to try. Does anyone have one of those Screw drive couplings? Or the whole assembly for that model bed? Originally asked by M.Smillin via TechNation
