DICOM VIEWER, PROBLEMS WITH GEN1 AND GEN2 ARCADIS VARIC

Hi! I have some troubles with 2 arcadis:

The GEN1:

After replacing the bios battery and replace processor thermal paste. I had to load the ghost image because the disk ended corrupted, and its asking me a syngo license. Before that, in the C arm appeared messages 9701&9702. and ASP_ASM_E_69. Idk what to do with these errors.

GEN2:

Also changed the battery and processor thermal paste but after configurating the Bios, the problem got solved. But Now left monitor has gone, I read over here that I need to put it in dual mode, theres is a way to get to windwos as administrator and change it? I dont have the service license for this one.

Also with this, a client asked me to send the c arm images to a dicom viewer, i read that this is optional. To check and configure the dicom part, do i need the service license?

Thank you----

Your post header is confusing as it relates to Dicom header.

The second monitor issue could be related to the Graphic card settings in nvidia, the correct setting is dual mode. You probably have an M460 pc!

You can access these setting without admin. You need to access windows file manager, setting the the advance setting should display. If not showing there is a small arrow which will display advance settings.

ONLY change the display from single to dual view, nothing else. Save & restart pc.

There are hotkeys to access file manager.

Simultaneously press tab, del, send too pacs, the press ctr + escape & windows start button  should appear, it not repeat.

Thank You so much Mr. Tom, but please do You know how can i verify if I have the dicom option installed? The dr is asking to send a pacs o a viewer PC. I have been looking but not sure if this is installed or not. Besides that, in case that I have that option, do i need service license to configure?

Thank You so much for taking Your time to answer My questions.

Using windows file manager, search for licence.dat.

Open with notepad, you will see all the active licences listed.

You should see worklist, Dicom store, dicom commit, mpps security etc. listed.

If the Dicom licence is present you have to obtain a service license to access  & configure IP, Gateway, AET, host name etc.

If Dicom Store is not present you will have to purchase the option from siemens.

Thank you so much Mr. Tom. That button sequence helped to correct the dual mode. The C arm is working properly.

I need your help once again, with arm C GEN 1, I had to load ghost image because the processor was getting too hot and I changed the cmos battery but when I did that the software got corrupted and that's why it was loading ghost image. I was able to get the 20 character syngo license but when I was in the service window it shows that the main system is disconnected. I tried to recover a backup that came with the system but it doesn't work. It keeps giving me the Main system disconnected message.

It's like there is no communication with the generator. I don't know what to do anymore, I tried to reload the ghost again but the problem remains.

Are there any additional steps? Or would you suggest doing a full software reload?

Thank you so much for your help Mr. Tom

Hi

If the backup restore did not work it could be the main system validation is not correct.

I believe it's in the service screen, main system or in the main config screen, look for image validation & check the serial number listed is that of main system.

If you used ghost, was it factory default or one from system. Check to make sure you have all licences like sngo general etc.

Via windows file Explorer search for licence.dat, open with notepad & check. Do not make any changes!!!!

Check the system date & time are correct, if its 1990 or something the licenses will not be active.

If you have to change date you most likely will no longer have service acces & will have to reload Ghost!

When reloading software, the main system should be disconnected as also paper printer & ethernet cables unplugged from PC

One other thought. If you loaded ghost did you also restore the bios using the bios dvd.

If not you should restore bios with the bios dvd as it does more that just setting basic config.

An example of bad bios is. Under windows file manager make sure you see the C, D & E drives  if one is missing restore bios property.

You can order it from Siemens.

Another way is, but you must understand if you don't do exactly as I say you will loose everything and you have to start again with software ghost loading etc. Etc.

Using the vb13c image disk, insert into drive & boot from disk.

It will start loading and then you will see a message "press any key to continue" with message on screen remove image disk then press: ctr +alt+del twice & the pc will restart.

This should update your bios.

This only works with vb13c software.

Hello Mr. Tom,

I followed your steps and I was unable to update the BIOS with the Image disk (instead of correcting the BIOS, it erased one of the three disks), but I did manage to run the syngo application. It was the issue of configuring the main system, installing the syngo license and setting the serial number of the c-arm.

Then I had an error 4500 and ASP_BIC_E_10106 and ASP_ASM_W_86, looking at the CPU card the CIPP card was incorrectly connected, correcting that allowed me to finally start the system correctly and make some X rays.

But now I have a couple of questions and I don't know if you can help me with some advice as an expert in the area.

When I want to shut down from the application, I get a window that says "Shutdown denied-----The following applications have denied the shutdown/restart request. Medium contained in locally connected device!. Should a forced shutdown/restart be done?" (I checked if there was a CD in the DVD drive and nothing, that message appears every time I try to turn off). Has that ever happened to you?

Then when I do the shutdown process, the PC turns off and restarts itself a few seconds after Windows XP shuts down. Do you think that by reloading the BIOS this can be corrected?

I found a SP ASPIA VB13C BIOS CD for my M30 PC but it was very scratched and I can't use it to update the BIOS. I don't have Siemens in my country and it's a bit difficult to get support from them directly. Do you have an image of that BIOS disk?

Thank you very much Mr. Tom, may God bless you very much

Patricia
