M Eco Film Processor overheating the chemicals

Hi,

Our M Eco film processor is giving and error massage that "Developer/Fixer heating too slow".

In fact it is heating the chemicals to over 40°c when it is set at 28°c.

Does anyone know if it is a problem with the temperature limiter sensors, or is it a circuit board fault somewhere please?

Thanks

Kevin

This is a classic sign of a temperature control failure. I would start by looking for a possible Faulty Temperature Sensor (Thermistor or Thermocouple).

Thanks James,

I assume it is the sensors that are in the developer and fixer chemical tanks themselves you mean?

There are Thermistors at the dryer end of the machine that have overheated once and crumbled, but I think they are triggered more from the dryer, and seem intact currently.

Cheers, Kevin
