If your Chison Echo 1 isn’t showing image depth, it’s usually one of three things:

Wrong mode or depth setting locked

Make sure you’re actually adjusting Depth and not Zoom/Focus. These older Chison units sometimes get stuck in a zoomed-in ROI. Hit “Depth” and reset to default.

Probe issue (most common)

A failing probe crystal can make it look like the system can’t scan deeper. Try another probe if you have one. If the second probe shows normal depth, your original probe needs repair.

Beamformer/front-end fault

If all probes have the same issue, the front-end board (beamformer) is the culprit. These Chison systems often lose channels, which looks exactly like “no depth.”
