Hello, just took an exposure on Siemens Cios Select and saw an error on the monitor: ERR 5211/80 and on the C-arm: ERR 10. The image of the exposure is grainy. How to diagnose and remedy this?

ERR 5211/80 on the monitor paired with ERR 10 on the C-arm on a Siemens Cios Select is almost always image chain–related, not a hard system fault. This points to poor dose or signal quality during the exposure. Common causes are:
- Repeat exposure with manual technique (higher kV/mA) and proper centering
- Remove unnecessary attenuation (table, metal, pads)
- Check dose display and compare to normal baseline
- If repeatable across patients, run image chain diagnostics and check tube output consistency
If it keeps recurring, this usually ends up being tube aging or HV instability, not the detector itself.
