The battery on the SUCO-Combo might be empty. Change the battery (carefully) and power-on/off the system twice. Problem solved

Error M010 on the Philips BV300 at startup with X-ray available is very often the battery on the COMBO board, so you’re thinking in the right direction.

That battery maintains system configuration and calibration data.
Yes, you can change it, but you must be careful:

  • If you change the battery with power OFF, you can lose configuration/cal data.
  • The usual trick is to replace the battery while the system is powered ON so memory stays alive.
  • It’s typically a coin cell on the COMBO board.

If the battery is dead too long already, you may need to reload system configuration/calibration after replacement.

Especially in older BV300 the backup batt is soldered (ER32L100) in the SUCO-board. You can not reach it when the system is powered on and soldering in a working system is certainly not a good idea. In every case you must take out the board and if the batt is soldered you will need very good soldering tools to prevent damaging the board. The memory will stay alive and if not, you can copy the backup from the DFI (mobile trolley) to the SUCO. Unfortunately you will need the Philips IST-key to do so.
