image quality is awful

far field is always brighter no matter how much I adjust tgc. Seems like cannot penetrate-only perfect anatomy makes good pictures. Went from an ATL to this sequoia and never been happy with the image quality of the machine-ev probe is the worst. Help!

You may want to call http://www.echoserve.com/ 877-386-ECHO (3246) or http://www.sequoiaultrasound.com/ 1-800-416-7567 We got 2 new Sequoia's for doing echos, the staff hated them so we traded them in for the old Philips Sonos 5500s.

When I was an in-house service engineer and supported ultrasound, our high-risk OB department loved their Sequoias. It should be possible to have the Siemens application specialist come to the site and assist in designing some custom presets that may help with difficult studies. I am by no-means a sonographer, but have 20 years in front of scanners and have a few questions. Have you attempted to image without the use of harmonics? Often, the use of harmonics can actually decrease image quality. Do you have more than 1 EV probe in the department? If so, do all of the EV probes share this symptom? If not, the probe MAY have some deficiencies that affect image quality. I’ve been in some departments where multiple EV probes have had deficiencies. The users did not recognize the subtle deficiencies until some testing was performed and they were provided with the results. I have a few more questions and am always available to discuss live.
