X-rays while using Amsco surgical table

Are you able to take x-rays while a patient is placed directly on the Amsco surgical table, or does the patient have to be moved to place a board under them before the x-ray is taken?

Yes you can take a x-ray without the board placed under the patient, but the patient can not move because any kind of movement will cause the image to come out fuzzy.

Some Amsco tables have an xray top that alows a cassette to be slid in under the patient very easily and if this does not exist, you can slid a cassette beneath the patient and surgical drape. Hope this helps, John
