Might want to give Global Medical Imaging a call, they can most likely help you on this one.

GE and Ambassador are even out of stock. How can the OEM not be able to support their existing systems?

It never suprises me, especially with GE, when parts are 'out of stock with no restock date'. I have run into the same issue with a omnibed recently, it took 3 months to get plastic belt and a small metal bracket.
You can give these guys a try as well, they have had some GE parts for me in the past:

Thanks for the leads. Unforetunately, both companies lack stock on this part. Wow, surprising that no one has this PCB. We may just end up purchasing a new system.

GE was finally able to source the PCB, but had to rely upon the service rep to escalate the request. WOW, who'da thought. What about the 7 year service support requirement? I guess that's how they magically found one.

You have to remember, right now GE is dumping everything they have into the Chinese market... including most of their parts stock. They have recieved the highest profit margins they can from this side of the pond and they know that cost to profit ratios will be lower from here on out. China on the other hand will be the largest growth market ont he planet, with the largest cost to profit margin, and they just moved all their big wigs from imaging and headquarters to Bangkok... we should expect GE parts to become very hard to recieve.
