Clock Error code 12

According to the book Zoll states that you should replace the system board on this error. Wondering if anyone knows the really story...IE can I replace a lithium battery on the board or something. Working on equipment not subject to US hospital standards.

the coin cell on the system pcb has failed and needs to be replaced.

99 out of 100 it's the coin cell and not the pcb.

Exactly the fix I need today- What is the easiest way to access the the coin cell?  This is a training machine I'm not interested in shipping East.

you have to remove the 2 bottom screws under the display. this will resleae the front face.

next you have to remove the 5 screws that hold on the upper housing and the coin cell is easily removable and visibile from that point. will need a 1632 coin cell.

the service manual has all the instructions to remove the front face and upper housing.
