I have a Force FX-C thats intermittently throwing an error 16. After many
attempts to calibrate Valleylab says its requires an inhouse repair. BUT
since I did not buy it new from them they will not repair it. Is there
anyone out there that knows what this repair is or is willing to take a shot
at it.

Repair- error code 16

If you buy it from them they will fix it for free under warranty even if it is out of warranty because it is a known problem the machines have.
We have had a number of them we have had to send in one by one as they fail.
I do not know what that problem is however as we have just sent them in with no questions asked since they were not charging us.
They wont fix it even if your willing to pay for the repair?

We had the same problem with Valley Lab for a repair regarding an RF3CB. It was originally built by Radionics, but Valley Lab purchased that company.
Our hospital purchased the machine used directly from another hospital. The machine was having some kind of error that we were more than happy to pay for, but because we did not buy the equipment directly from Valley Lab, they would not touch it.
To me that is like buying a car used from someone or a used car dealer and taking the car in for service to the OEM and the OEM saying they will not provide service on that car because it was not purchased from them.
We have been doing all our purchasing as of late through Conmed on the ESU front and we have had really good service cooperation

Error 16 refers to the "Scaling relays", which are on the control board. The component you are looking for is "U6".
I hope this helps,
