Is there an easy way to stop the lid from falling down. It should gently drop into place but ours doesn't any more and it dropping has caused problems. Or would I need a replacement part?

Have you checked or replaced the lid pistons? It should have two, a left and a right. Both are the same and should be replaced at the same time. Let me know if I can assist you further. Thanks again for using MedWrench.
