Fujifilm's revolutionary ISS detector technology moves the TFT layer to the top of the conversion layer, reducing scatter and blur, and increasing sharpness and DQE. X-rays pass through a radiolucent TFT layer that reads the converted light where it's strongest and sharpest, resulting in sharper detail at lower doses. ISS also improves sharpness in Cesium Iodide detectors, sampling the light at the tips of the crystals, where the output is sharpest and strongest. ISS is used in Fujifilm Medical Systems FDR AcSelerate and FDR D-EVO detectors.
